Drinkable as a whiskey, but with a graham- like sweetness, this is a versatile spirit that can be used in place of a coffee liqueur. Kahlua is sickly sweet, and even more contemporary alternatives are overdone and unsophisticated. This is a whiskey drinker’s coffee spirit, rich and flavorful but not too precious.
